Testimonials.

Tonight we received the most lovely compliment from a lady we met on our nighttime walk who turned and smiled at us and said, 'she just looks so happy!
It's just so meaningful to receive feedback like that as little Miss Sadie hadn't been through the easiest of times prior to her being dumped in a terrible state at my good friend's animal rescue sanctuary. I'm so grateful that her health was able to be turned around and that she is now living life to the fullest at age 13!
Open Doors for Paws Founder -
Donna Bailey
Donna has loved animals her whole life and has been rescuing dogs since childhood, often bringing strays home. Her first dog, Lady, a stray collie, was with her for 13 years. Two years later she rescued a cocker spaniel cross, Teddy Tramp.
Originally from Indiana, USA, Donna began grooming in 1985. She worked as a head groomer for a private boarding kennel and later handled private contracts for high-profile clients. In 1992 she moved to Alice Springs, Australia, where she opened Bonnie’s Bungalow—her grooming salon, boarding kennel, and nursery—in 1997. She even completed a 24-hour grooming marathon that raised nearly $40,000 for Make-A-Wish.
Donna relocated to Brisbane in 2008 and opened Tailored Paws in 2009, which still operates today. With help from a friend in the legal field, she is now bringing her dream charity, Open Doors for Paws, to life.
